BRAINSPOTTING
Brainspotting, developed by David Grand in 2003, is a therapeutic technique based on the belief that certain eye positions can evoke emotions, sensations, and memories. Clients will be guided to focus on specific spots, or "brainspots," related to emotional or traumatic issues. By maintaining focus on these spots, and utilizing mind-body awareness, clients can access and process deep-seated emotions more effectively. This technique is often used to address a range of concerns relating to trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress.
“While I have participated over the years in traditional cognitive therapy, the Brainspotting method allowed me to unlock parts of my experience that were continuing to prevent me from feeling truly healed.” - Andrea
