Somatic Healing
Somatic Healing is a powerful way of processing unresolved trauma by focusing on the connection between the body and mind. Our physical symptoms and emotional expressions tell the story of our past experiences. Traumatic or stressful events can become trapped in the body when they are not fully processed, which can affect our mental, physical and emotional well-being. Reducing or relieving these symptoms is possible!
Somatic: relating to the body, especially as distinct from the mind.
When we allow ourselves to acknowledge and process emotions, we create space for growth and transformation.
Somatic experiences pertain to bodily sensations, functions and processes.
Through Somatic Healing and Coaching Sessions, you will:
-Reconnect with your body and its physical sensations to process unresolved trauma that keeps you from enjoying the present moment and moving forward
-Increase Self-Awareness and learn to establish Healthy Boundaries (this will change your relationships and your life!)
-Uncover, understand, and heal the hidden wounds that you’ve carried within your body for a long-time including shame and/or guilt.
-Restore your sense of self through deep somatic techniques and an understanding of your nervous system including polyvagal theory integrated with self-regulation tools.
-Reduce symptoms related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, CPTSD, inflammation, fatigue, illness and other emotional challenges.
